old bale more of old Bale. this is a sail reaper, used to cut the corn before the advent of tractors and such. sorry, I really don’t know the date of this picture – it could be in the 1800’s or it could be in the 1920’s or 30’s … or even 40’s. I love old pictures and stories like this! Thank you so much for posting them. And about the horses…look at how much work they had to do to harvest that hay or corn.
