anemone wood 2
I went back to the secret wood yesterday. there were many more anemones this time. soon the nettles will smother some of them, but I think other parts will reward a further visit. so here is a batch of photos, I didn’t want to edit, so you get the lot.

the primroses are still going strong, and the roebuck’s fraying post is even more emphatically marked with scratches, I suppose most of the velvet must be off his antlers by now. I would love to see him.
lastly an indulgence, here is a haiku.
white starry flowers
delicate porcelain cups
drink down sun and rain.

Beautiful. I never could handle haikus. Reference to nature with a nod to a change in season between lines two and three. Only the Japanese…

Somebody’s been lazy. Five days without a blog entry. Lay off the vino and step on it, darling. Some of us would kill (ok, seriously maim) to live in the English country side. We need our fix.
*wink*

LOL!
fraid I am not always inspired, and it is SO grey at the moment, miserable, slight drizzle, windy, that I think photos would not be good. so should I blog about NOT being inspired? am really quite depressed by the lack of light.
and I did three last weekend, after all ..

Ah——the magical secret wood. The more you look the more stories it can tell. Indeed, I see you passed under ‘The devils tail tree’ and had to pass over the wild garlic at the entrance (smell?). Interestingly only your small tracks and no dogs?
Said, on April 20th, 2008 at 7:15 am :
no, no dogs. they are too much trouble on the lead in a place like this.
glad to see you have been visiting too.

In London I seem to remember that there would often be sunshine after the morning rains. Sunlight right after rain can make for beautiful photos.
But I trying to find a way around light. I seem to only be able to take good pictures when the light is “interesting”. Today, the sun is out and I’m finding it difficult make my pictures special.

yes, then there is too much light, it flattens everything out. I know exactly what you mean.

Speaking of Japanese, isn’t it Haiku Sunday? My skills are failing me today…
