full moon last night, and very high/low autumn tides, with a northerly gale pushing the high tide even higher. there is a nice sailing boat perched on the marsh, with her anchor firmly in a creek, she must have dragged it out and across the marsh. not an easy job to get her back, I should think, over soft and spongey mud and sedgey grass. water was pouring out of the little creeks into the big one at low tide when we walked.
