wreck of the hesperus damsons last week We are having more of this depressing weather, very low cloud, drizzle, north wind … sea fret of one sort or another … so all my damsons, which have split because of too much rain, have been thrown down on the floor by the wind (25 mph plus gusts on Wednesday) and more low cloud looks like spending the weekend hovering over our heads. Everyone else is getting glorious weather – especially Scotland . we had a spate of this in June, it was 8 or 9 days.. if this is global warming, I am moving elsewhere. damsons this week The cereal crops left unharvested because of the rain, are all blackening with mould.
