sun-walking
third quarter moon high in the blue
winter sun rising,
a blinding orange bead behind my left shoulder
catching grasses seed heads
glinting through the hedge on Cakes
shining through translucent leaves
illuminating red spotted yellow maple
wind tamed
white jay spirit bird
roe deer lingering
along the woodshore
winter dawn near solstice
horizon brimming outlining
pigeons flap and clatter in branches above
walking up the wet tarmac lane into sun
with arms open and eyes shut
sun walking
immersed
